Guatemala approves international standards ISO37001 and ISO17021-9 in a further effort towards anti-corruption
Guatemala approves international standards ISO37001[1] (Anti-bribery management systems ) and ISO 17021-9[2] (requirements for auditing and certification). Both norms were approved today (May 12, 2017) by theNational Counsel forStandards, a mixed body. The norms will be officially published next week. Jose E. Quiñones, on behalf of the anti-bribery working committee, officially presented the norms to the Counsel and stressed the critical impact on an issue of national interest such as anti-corruption. The National Counsel provided very positive feedback and highlighted the high hopes that these standards will be put to good use in a short time.
