Ignacio's practice includes financing through different modalities; energy, infrastructure and projects; acquisitions and related transactions and arbitration. Ignacio has recent and relevant experience in various bond placements in the international capital market under rule 144/Reg S, advising both banks and issuers from different industries.

He has also participated in the structuring, negotiation and closing of various credit facilities, including syndicated loans with scope in several jurisdictions, loans under the Project Finance modality and the structuring and negotiation of the guarantees related to these facilities. He has also advised banks on regulatory issues. His practice of infrastructure, energy and projects covers transportation projects, concessions, port services, contracting of public services before different state entities. For this purpose, he has advised investors, multilateral entities and international financiers in determining the bankability, legality, viability and structuring of said projects, as well as their financing. He also advises various agents in the electricity market on regulatory, contractual, corporate matters or for the financing of the respective generation assets.

Ignacio has also participated in local and cross-border transactions such as acquisitions and sales of groups with presence in various countries, shareholder agreements with multi-jurisdictional corporate structures, purchase and sale of assets, among others.

Ignacio has significant experience advising clients as counsel for parties in local and international arbitrations in disputes arising from different industries such as pharmaceuticals, energy and hydrocarbons and has served in recent years as a member and Chairman of the Board of Directors. of CRECIG, one of the main arbitration centers in Guatemala. He has also participated in litigation before International Courts. Ignacio has been a professor at two universities in the country for several years
